PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Executive Director of Lived Experience - Mary O'Hagan and the Director of Lived Experience (carer) Fiona Patterson. Presentation and question time.
  • Tandem update from Andrew Tomlinson – Deputy CEO (Director of System Reform)
  • CLEW workshops – What exactly do we do? Exploring on shared values, principles, practice and frameworks in Family Carer Lived Experience work
  • The Power of Kinship – presented by Juilieanne James, Aboriginal Project Officer – Bouverie Centre
  • Sharing our Wisdoms and Ways of Working – an interactive session around working with feeling, living with losses, leaning into leadership and leading though advocacy.
  • My Journey “Leading the Way” - a collection of snippets from the leadership journeys of current family carer LE workers.
  • Panel discussion – Leapfrogging into Leadership – Navigating the stepping stones towards leadership, advocacy and reform. Hear from a diverse and experienced panel of current and emerging family carer leaders. Bring your questions!

This event is presented by Carer Lived Experience Workforce Victoria (CLEW), in collaboration with the Centre for Mental Health Learning (CMHL).

Carer Lived Experience Workforce Victoria (CLEW) is auspiced by Tandem and supported with workforce development and secretariat by the Centre for Mental Health Learning (CMHL). CLEW provides a safe space to connect with our emerging discipline, network, share practices, learn from others, co-reflect, get updates, be involved in the progression of the workforce and reduce feelings of isolation. In the past few years the CLEW workforce has grown considerably, with a current membership in excess of 217.

The CMHL is the central agency which connects, collects and shares information, tools, resources and expertise created through DHHS investment to ensure skills and knowledge are shared widely, and mental health workers at every stage of their career have the opportunity to grow their leadership capabilities.
